The short version

Air on the truck without towing a compressor. Gas engine and no hydraulics: the Viper Gas G80 (80 CFM, from $10,666) or G60 (150 PSI) puts rotary-screw air in a 440 lb package. Diesel fleet: the Viper Diesel D60–D80. Truck already has PTO hydraulics: a Reliant RC40 ($7,126) makes 30–40 CFM with no second engine. Need to weld too: the Air N Arc 150 ($12,004) is air, welder, generator and battery power in one frame. Budget reciprocating air: the PRO 35 ($4,699). Compare every brand in gas-driven and diesel-driven air compressors, read the Air Compressor Buyer’s Guide, or call 1-888-883-5144.

Viper Gas Rotary-Screw Compressors

Reliant & ADHD Hydraulic-Drive Compressors

Run air off the hydraulic system your truck already has — no second engine, no extra fuel system, from a 195 lb rotary screw to a 185 CFM jackhammer-class machine.

Vanair Reliant RC40 hydraulically driven air compressor

Abovedeck hydraulic drive, 30–185 CFM

The Reliant series (RC40, RC40-L, RS45, RS85-L) and the high-CFM ADHD run entirely off chassis hydraulics — crane trucks, service bodies and mechanics trucks with spare GPM get compressed air with nothing extra to fuel or maintain. Open- and closed-center systems are both supported, with cold weather packages available across the line.

Air N Arc All-in-One Power Systems

Air compressor, DC welder, AC generator, battery boost and battery charge in one service-body footprint — five forms of power, one machine to mount and maintain.

The Air N Arc line

From the 20 CFM Air N Arc 150 to the 330 Diesel with its Lincoln Electric 330 A multi-process welder and 10 kW generator, every Air N Arc replaces a compressor, a welder, a generator and a jump box with one unit. Vanair is a Lincoln Electric company, and the PowerFlex variants supply air, electric and hydraulic power without the welder where that fits the truck better.

Vanair Questions, Answered

What does Vanair make?

Vanair builds vehicle-mounted mobile power: Viper gas and diesel rotary-screw air compressors, Reliant and ADHD hydraulically driven compressors, Air N Arc all-in-one air/welder/generator/battery systems, PRO Series and Contractor reciprocating compressors, and Utility Mount 185–260 CFM systems. The idea across the whole line is the same — put the compressor on the truck instead of behind it.

Who owns Vanair?

Vanair Manufacturing is a Lincoln Electric company. Current factory literature is published jointly with Lincoln Electric, and the Air N Arc 330’s 330 A multi-process welder is a Lincoln Electric unit built on Lincoln’s Chopper Technology.

Should I buy the Viper Gas or the Viper Diesel?

The airend and outputs are the same — 60, 70 or 80 CFM. The Viper Gas runs a 25 HP Honda iGX800 EFI, weighs 440 lb and starts at $12,999. The Viper Diesel runs a 24.8 HP Kubota Tier 4 Final, weighs 735 lb, starts at $18,856 and adds automatic variable speed and shutdown protection. If the truck and the fleet are diesel and the machine works daily, buy diesel; for lighter chassis and intermittent use, the gas Viper saves real money up front.

Can a Vanair compressor run a 90 lb jackhammer?

Yes. Vanair factory-rates the Viper Diesel and the ADHD hydraulic compressor for 90 lb jackhammers, and the 60–80 CFM Viper Gas models cover 60–90 lb class breakers, piercing tools and post drivers — one big tool per machine.

What hydraulic supply does a Reliant need?

The RC40 needs 9.5 GPM (30 CFM) to 12 GPM (40 CFM) at 1,775–2,275 PSI; the aluminum RC40-L needs 8.25–10 GPM at 2,300–2,600 PSI; the RS45 runs on as little as 7 GPM. Vanair’s ratings assume 120°F hydraulic fluid — add a minimum of 400 PSI for continuous ratings. Open-center and closed-center systems are both supported.

What is an Air N Arc?

An Air N Arc is Vanair’s all-in-one power system: an air compressor, DC welder, AC generator, battery booster and battery charger sharing one engine and one frame. The I-300 adds a hydraulic pump for crane work — six forms of power — and the 330 Diesel pairs a Lincoln Electric 330 A multi-process welder with a 10 kW generator.

Do Vanair compressors work at high altitude?

Yes, with the right configuration. Vanair’s guidance is that engine power falls about 3.5% per 1,000 ft of elevation; the Viper D70 is factory-rated 100 PSI above 3,500 ft, and we stock high-altitude Viper configurations — look for the high-altitude option on the PDP or call us with your elevation.

Does Crowder Supply stock Vanair parts?

Yes. OEM Vanair parts are listed by part number in our parts catalog — panels, filters, control modules, harnesses, service kits and Vanguard compressor oils — and exploded parts diagrams and operations manuals for the Viper, Reliant and Air N Arc lines are on the site.

Which Vanair models does Crowder Supply stock?

Stocked with live pricing today: Viper Gas G60/G70/G80, Viper Diesel D60/D70/D80, the Air N Arc 150 20 HP, the Reliant RC40 open-center with cold weather package, the PRO 35, and the accessory range. The rest of the documented factory line — G55, RC40-L, RS45, RS85-L, ADHD, the wider Air N Arc range, PRO 25, Contractor and Utility Mount — is quoted at 1-888-883-5144.

How fast do Vanair machines ship?

Stocked models ship within one business day; the rest ship within a few business days. We ship nationwide from our own stock and, on some lines, direct from the manufacturer, so transit depends on the item rather than one warehouse — freight is quoted alongside the machine.
