Club rods — also called drifter rods — are heavy-duty male/male drill rods for tunneling, drifting and benching, built to withstand high-impact loads while transferring energy efficiently from the drill’s shank adapter through a coupling to the rock. Pick the thread at each end, the bar section and the length: bit-end threads R25, R32, R35 and NR34; rod-end threads R32, R38 and T38; bar stock from 1 in. hex to 1-3/8 in. hex plus 1 in. and 1-1/2 in. round; lengths from 24 in. to 252 in.

Heat-treated alloy steel with nitriding, carburizing or phosphating surface treatment gives these rods their fatigue and wear resistance, and precision-machined threads keep couplings tight and torque transfer efficient.
