Threaded couplings from Crowder Supply join two male-threaded drill rods of the same thread system, keeping impact energy moving down the string with minimal loss. Threads cover H, R25, R28, R32, R38, R51, T38, T45, T51, TTN30, TTN40, TTN52 and H55 in sizes from 25 mm to 75 mm, machined from 8620 heat-treated alloy steel to meet or exceed OEM specifications for Atlas Copco, Epiroc, Sandvik, Furukawa and TEI rock drills.

Couplings are what let male/male extension rods stack into a full-depth string one coupling per joint, every piece in the same thread. Round or square bodies, normal, thin or heavy-duty walls, and optional wrench flats suit different hole clearances and breakout methods. When the two rods carry different threads, a cross-thread coupling adapter bridges the systems instead; the drill steel adapters buyers guide explains which joint calls for which connector. Custom sizes are available with minimum order quantities.

Threaded Coupling FAQ

How do I pick the right coupling?
Match the thread on your rods — H, R25 through R51, T38 through T51, Titan or H55 — and keep every piece in the string, from shank to bit, in that same system; the whole family lives under drill steel & bits.

Can a coupling join two different threads?
No — a coupling joins two male rods of the same thread. When the threads differ, a cross-thread coupling adapter bridges the two systems instead.

What are these couplings made of?
8620 heat-treated alloy steel, machined to meet or exceed OEM specifications for Atlas Copco, Epiroc, Sandvik, Furukawa and TEI drill strings.

Do you offer sizes beyond the stock range?
Stock runs 25 mm through 75 mm in round or square bodies with normal, thin or heavy-duty walls; custom sizes are available with minimum order quantities.
