The 4-1/2 in. clay spade fits a pneumatic paving breaker with a broad, flat blade that dislodges and breaks apart compacted earth and clay, digging ground that defeats hand tools. The 4-1/2 in. width breaks and lifts a full bite of material with each strike, sized for utility trenching, foundation work and drainage excavation in dense, clay-heavy soils where the ground fights back.
