Threaded Reaming Button Bit

Threaded reaming button bits enlarge pilot holes to finished diameters from 2-1/2 in. through 8 in., threading directly onto the drill string in R25, R32, R38, T38, T45 and T51 systems. Tungsten carbide buttons across the face and gauge handle the widening cut while a 2 to 3 in. pilot bore follows the existing hole, keeping the reamed hole on line in mining, quarrying and civil work.

A threaded connection means the reamer mounts like any other bit in our rock drill bit range spin it onto matching extension rods and torque the joint home, with no bit shell or taper to fuss with. Reaming widens ventilation, drainage, casing and pile holes without collaring a new hole. For the pilot hole itself, start with a carbide button bit from the same thread family.

  • Thread systems: R25, R32, R38, T38, T45 and T51
  • Reaming diameters from 2-1/2 in. through 8 in.; pilot diameters 2 to 3 in.
  • Tungsten carbide buttons on a high-grade alloy steel body for wear resistance
  • Threads directly onto the drill string for secure connection and torque transmission
  • Enlarges pilot holes for blastholes, casing, piles, anchors and drainage
  • Applications: mining, quarrying, tunneling, foundation, geothermal and water well drilling
