The Epiroc SB 1102 is a 2,300 lb (1060 kg) Solid Body hydraulic breaker for excavators and other carriers in the 29,000–53,000 lb (13–24 t) class. It swings a 4.72 in. (120 mm) working tool with 24 in. (610 mm) working length at 550–850 bpm, on 26–36 gpm (100–135 l/min) of oil flow at 1,885–2,610 psi (130–180 bar) and up to 54.3 HP (40 kW) of hydraulic input.
The Solid Body concept integrates the power cell and breaker box in one body and eliminates common parts, so the breaker is slim, compact and light for its class and suits confined work inside buildings, along walls and in narrow trenches. Energy recovery turns piston recoil into extra blow energy while lowering vibration, a maintenance-free high-pressure accumulator with patented diaphragm support keeps performance consistent, and an integrated pressure relief valve protects against overloads. The floating-fit tool bushing uses a patented tool locking system for quick on-site tool changes. Typical jobs: light concrete structures, asphalt pavement, earthworks, underground scaling and foundry ladle and converter cleaning. Moil points, chisels, blunt tools, wide chisels and asphalt cutters are under Epiroc working tools, and seal, accumulator, lower-part and label kits are linked below; keep the bushings greased with Epiroc chisel paste.
